↑ Repurposing Off-Patent Drugs | What rapamycin schedule safely improves healthspan in humans? [draft]
Rapamycin extends lifespan in every mammal species tested so far, but almost all of that evidence is in animals. It is off-patent, so no sponsor will run the human healthspan trial. Open question: in healthy older adults, does intermittent low-dose rapamycin improve immune function, physical performance, and age-related biomarkers - and at what dose is it safe? A crowdfunded dose-finding trial could answer this.
